Dr. Qi is the first named inventor of patents adamgammadex, Aom0499, Aom0777, Aom0315, Aom0187 and Aom0319. Dr. Qi was once under the tutelage of Academician Chengye Yuan and studied at  Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, After that, he went on to pursue postdoctoral study in medicinal chemistry at the University of Virginia with scholarships provided by Professor T.Y. Shen, vice president of Pharmaceutical Technology of Merck, USA and then studied at the University of California, Davis as a post-doctoral fellow in biomedicine.

Dr Qi is expert in molecular redesign. Since the foundation of Aomo in 2000, Dr Qi has been focusing on research and development of new drugs for more than 20 years, and has obtained over 50 patents on new drugs. Dr Qi has established the first and only AMCDx platform, an innovative new drug platform in polysaccharide, in the world protected by patents around the world in the field of supramolecular.
